What is a "giclee" print? (pronounced "zjhee-clay")
A giclee is a state of the art reproduction of an original painting or photograph. Giclee prints utilize digital technology and archival quality inks and paper. The giclee prints offered through Chrisman Studio are created using the highest quality equipment available; the same as the Louvre and the Smithsonian Institute. With proper care and normal indoor environmental conditions, the colors are light-fast and will last for generations without fading or yellowing. The high resolution and color quality surpass all other traditional color printing methods. Most people cannot discern the difference between the giclee print and the original painting.
